Packshots are objects and products like utensils, shoes and items which can be photographed on a table top. Usually many similar products are expected to be photographed during one session.
Keith’s goal as a packshot photographer is to accurately represent your product using camera and lighting techniques in a flattering composition without misrepresentation, to reduce shadows and reflections and provide accurate colour matching.
All packshot photography images are supplied with a clipping path* to isolate products from the background, allowing pure white, transparent or coloured backgrounds to be digitally added.
Drop shadows, exploded views and reflections are common place in todays product and packshot photography, a quotation for these service will be provided before proceeding.
*Clipping paths of very complex intricate products will be quoted for prior to photography.
This is a service for businesses which require professional, high quality images to sell, promote and market their products, staff and services in printed and online media. Clients thrust a myriad of items from micro objects to large scale industrial and engineering projects towards Keith’s camera, his objective as a commercial photographer is to understand your vision and interpret your brief to capture images with visual impact.
Items can be photographed on location or table top size products shipped to the Thetford studio. Clothing can be photographed with ghost mannequin technique, allowing the inner neck and back of the garment to be shown.
Larger items are photographed in a similar way to packshot photography, however, varying shapes, sizes and the need to change lighting setups more frequently can slow down the photographing process. Shiny, reflective or transparent objects can also be photographed but we prefer to photograph your product free of charge before you commit to this service.
