Marilyn Monroe ‘Timeless’ exhibition

This is worth a look…‘Timeless’, a unique exhibition of images of Hollywood legend Marilyn Monroe, at Bury St Edmunds historic Moyse’s Hall Museum until September 30th. My thanks to Suzie Kennedy the world’s leading Marilyn Monroe tribute artist who gave a stella performance posing for photos during the exhibition opening.

Peter Beales Roses at Chelsea Flower Show

Congratulations to Peter Beales Roses on winning their 25th gold medal at Chelsea Flower Shower while celebrating their 50th anniversary. Su Pollard and Diarmuid Gavin launched two new roses ‘Ely Cathedral’ and ‘Fragrant Celebration’. I had the pleasure of photographing the event for the world renowned, Norfolk based rose grower.

Product photography diversity

Commercial photography of cosmetics for Mildenhall based client
I’m always amazed by the diversity of products that I am asked to photograph throughout Norfolk, Suffolk, Cambridge and Essex, then Odylique gave me the opportunity to photograph their range of organic makeup at their business in Mildenhall, Suffolk. The brief was to give each product a clipping path so that all the photos could have a consistent solid white or digitally edited coloured background with a natural reflection, which is a typical photography style for modern e-commerce websites.

Working on location with all the studio lighting is a challenge, however, the shoot was made easier using the laptop with real time ‘live view’ images which enables my clients to view composition and lighting as I shoot, keeping everybody happy.

Two bishops walking 70 miles…

Two bishops are walking 70 miles across Suffolk to meet communities face to face and discover the challenges they face.
The Rt Revd Martin Seeley, Bishop of St Edmundsbury and Ipswich, right, and the Rt Revd Dr Mike Harrison, Bishop of Dunwich, see their pilgrimage as an ideal way to celebrate their first Lent in office together as relatively new bishops in the county.
They want to spend time with people while walking at a leisurely pace and hope farmers, villagers and other people from all walks of life will accompany them, even if it is only for a couple of miles.
